I was en-route to the clinic when I received a phonecall to say the nurse is unwell. The receptionist was very lovely and said they recognised that my appointment was very important (being day 7 wound check that was already occurring a day late).
The clinic are going to try and get another nurse this afternoon and she stated she would phone me to let me know.
So I'm back home.
